Cognism sells its own contact database, strongest in the UK and Europe, with phone-verified mobiles and Do Not Call screening, on a quote. Prospector sells no data: it puts the Clay tables your GTM engineer already built in every rep's hands, on LinkedIn, on company sites and in the CRM record, for $45 per rep per month. If you have no Clay and your buyers are mostly in Europe, buy Cognism. If you run Clay, Clay plus Prospector is the better way for a sales team to prospect: GTM engineers build in Clay, reps never open Clay.
G2 on 2 October 2026: Cognism 4.5 out of 5 from 1,371 reviews; Supered 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews. HubSpot marketplace: Supered 5.0 from 122 reviews.
Cognism's pricing page sells two Sales Prospecting packages, Standard and Pro, each with "5 seats included," and no dollar figures: every button reads "Talk to sales" (cognism.com/pricing, checked 2 October 2026). Usage runs on credits: "1 credit = 1 revealed contact," with "No charge for viewing previously revealed contacts," and "A credit is only used again if that contact changes jobs." Pro adds premium mobile data, on-demand verification and intent from Bombora, where "Administrators can select up to 12 intent topics from a library of over 11,000 options." MCP and API access now appear on the page, marked New.
What a quote turns into is on Vendr: the median Cognism buyer pays $32,750 a year, across 94 purchases, with buyers saving 26% on average and contracts running from $16,585 to $88,449 (Vendr, checked 2 October 2026). Cognism also owns Kaspr, a self-serve extension for individual reps and small teams.
One fact matters for teams on Clay: Cognism is not in Clay's marketplace. Clay's integrations page lists "200+ providers in one place," and its Cognism integration address returns a Not Found page (clay.com, checked 2 October 2026). So the question is not whether Cognism's data is good. It is whether one database, sold by the seat, is the right purchase once your GTM engineer is building waterfalls in Clay.
| Cognism | Supered Prospector | |
|---|---|---|
| Job it is built for | One vendor for B2B contacts, strongest in the UK and Europe, with phone-verified mobiles, intent on Pro and compliance work done for you. | Clay in every rep's hands: the tables your GTM engineer built become a button reps press where they already prospect. No database of its own, no outreach writing. |
| Data source | Cognism's own database, including manually phone-verified "Diamond Data" mobiles, scrubbed against "15 major Do Not Call and TPS lists." | Clay's waterfall across 200+ providers, on your own Clay account and credits. Cognism is not one of them today. |
| Where reps use it | Cognism's web app and its Sales Intelligence Extension (4.3 out of 5 from 11 ratings, 4,000 users) on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and company sites, with an active Cognism seat. | Inside the Supered Chrome extension: LinkedIn profiles, Sales Navigator, company websites, and HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive records. Reps never log into Clay. |
| CRM sync | Integrations with "Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft and more," set up in the Cognism platform; a CRM Enrichment add-on keeps records current. | One click to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, field mapping set once by Ops. Before the push, the rep sees the matching CRM record, who owns it and whether the person was worked before. |
| Pricing model | No published price. Standard and Pro, 5 seats each, one credit per revealed contact. Vendr median $32,750 a year from 94 purchases. | Published: $45 per rep per month, billed annually ($540 a rep a year), from 1 rep. Enrichment runs on the Clay credits you already buy. |
| Contract and limits | Annual, negotiated. Fair-usage policy per user: 2,000 records viewed and 2,000 exported a month, exports 25 records at a time. | Annual, from a single seat. No free trial yet: it starts with a demo on your own Clay account. |
| What leaders see afterward | Credits used per revealed contact. What happens to the contact after that lives in your CRM reports. | Every list found, worked and closed, per rep, with closed outcomes Qualified, Recycled or Disqualified, and no duplicate work across reps. |
| Security and compliance | SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701; GDPR and CCPA; data generally kept inside the EEA. | SOC 2 Type II and GDPR (Supered). Each provider in your Clay waterfall keeps its own sourcing terms. |
| G2 | Cognism: 4.5 out of 5 from 1,371 reviews. | Supered: 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews. Prospector is new and has no reviews of its own yet. |

How we graded: by the job, because the two products do different ones. Lane one is a team with no Clay that calls into the UK and Europe and wants one vendor for verified mobiles and compliance. Lane two is a team on Clay that wants every rep running the tables. Weights in both lanes: contact coverage the rep can reach for that market (35%), where the rep works and the CRM sync (25%), what a leader sees about each list afterwards (20%), price and contract for a 10 to 50 rep team (20%).
| Tool | Lane | Grade | Rank | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cognism | European calling, no Clay | A | 1 | The strongest single database for UK and EU mobiles, phone-verified, screened against 15 Do Not Call and TPS lists, with SOC 2 and two ISO certifications. Price is the weak line: a quote, and 5 seats per package. |
| Kaspr | European calling, no Clay | B | 2 | Cognism's sister product for small teams: a self-serve LinkedIn extension with a published price, fewer phone credits and none of Cognism's intent or verification on demand. |
| Supered Prospector | European calling, no Clay | C | 3 | Out of scope: Prospector runs on Clay and brings no database of its own. |
| Supered Prospector | Clay in every rep's hands | A | 1 | Built for this: your tables as a button on LinkedIn, company sites and the CRM record, a CRM check before the push, found to closed per list, a published price. |
| Cognism | Clay in every rep's hands | C | 2 | Its extension runs Cognism's data only, and Cognism is not in Clay's marketplace. A GTM engineer can still call its API from a Clay table on your own contract. |
If your reps phone buyers in London, Paris or Munich, Cognism is the vendor to measure others against on the data that matters most there: mobiles. It runs a team of researchers who validate mobile numbers by hand, which it sells as Diamond Data, and it scrubs its records against "15 major Do Not Call and TPS lists," naming registers from the UK's TPS and CTPS to Germany, France, Spain and Sweden. Vendr's own comparison sums up the reputation: "Strong EMEA coverage." On G2 it holds 4.5 out of 5 across 1,371 reviews.
The compliance work is real, not a badge. Cognism's compliance page says it notifies business contacts "of their inclusion in our database within GDPR timeframes," holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701, and generally keeps the data inside the European Economic Area (cognism.com/compliance). It is also honest about the limit: each party "acts as an independent controller," and Cognism recommends "customers seek legal advice prior processing and using the data." For a European sales floor, one vendor carrying that file is worth paying for.
The trade-offs are the ones its own terms set. There is no list price, each package starts at 5 seats, and the fair-usage policy caps each user at 2,000 records viewed and 2,000 exported a month, 25 records at a time. Reviewers on G2 name the same two things: price, and coverage that thins outside Europe. None of that makes the data worse. It makes Cognism a strong buy for a team calling Europe and a poor fit for a 12-rep team that already pays for Clay.
The question is rarely whether Cognism's European mobiles are good. It is whether one database is still the right shape of purchase once a GTM engineer is building in Clay.
Prospector is the rep side of Clay. Your GTM engineer builds the tables once, person enrichment, the buying committee for an account, the new-logo list for a campaign, and each becomes a flow a rep picks from a Push menu. A rep on a LinkedIn profile, a company's website or a HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive record presses one button, and your Clay table runs on your own Clay account. In Sales Navigator, reps add leads to a prospect list and push the list to a Clay table. Your logic stays yours: waterfalls, tiers, tags and sequence variables. The engineer stops being the list desk.
Before anything syncs, the rep sees whether the person already has a CRM record, who owns it, and whether they were prospected before, so two reps do not work the same buyer. One more click sends the contact to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive with the field mapping Ops set once. Reps never log into Clay, and they do not need a database seat of their own to build lists.
Then the part a Cognism export does not show. A sales leader sees every list found, worked and closed, rep by rep, and every lead ends the way your process says: Qualified, Recycled or Disqualified. When a leader can see what the tables produced, the Clay budget grows. The full loop is on the sourcing use case, and the rep's view is on Prospector for reps.
Prospector costs $45 per rep per month, billed annually, which is $540 a rep a year and $5,400 a year for ten reps, and you can buy it for one rep. It runs on the Clay plan and credits you already pay for. There is no free trial yet. It starts with a demo on your own Clay account, and the details are on the Prospector page.
A demo on your own Clay account. Bring the table your reps ask for most often.
If you have no Clay and your reps call into the UK and Europe, Cognism is the best pick. If you run Clay, Prospector is the best pick: Clay plus Supered is the best way for a sales team to prospect, because GTM engineers build in Clay and reps never open it.
Some teams keep both. Cognism stays the source for European mobiles, and Clay runs everything else through Prospector. A GTM engineer can also call Cognism's API from a Clay table on your own Cognism contract, so its results land in the same waterfall reps run.
We sell one of the two products on this page, so weigh what follows. Every Cognism fact links to its source and carries the date we checked it, 2 October 2026, and where Cognism is the better buy we say so in the verdict. When Cognism publishes a price or changes what it sells, this page changes with it.
Supered is the #1 sales enablement app on the HubSpot marketplace and a HubSpot Premier Tech Partner, with 6,000+ installs. It holds 5.0 from 122 reviews on the HubSpot marketplace and 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews on G2. Those reviews cover Supered as a whole. Prospector is the newest product and runs inside the Supered Chrome extension, so judge it in a demo on your own Clay account.
You do not have to drop Cognism on day one. The gentler path is to run Clay next to it, see what the tables produce, then decide at renewal.
The contract math is on Cognism pricing, and what the Cognism extension does on LinkedIn is on the Cognism Chrome extension.
If neither Cognism nor Clay plus Prospector fits, these are the other names buyers put next to Cognism. Each has a full head-to-head on our blog.
The full field, graded, is on Cognism alternatives. The same question for other vendors: ZoomInfo vs Prospector, Apollo vs Prospector and Lusha vs Prospector.
For teams on Clay, yes. Prospector brings no database of its own: it runs your Clay tables, Clay's waterfall across 200+ providers, from LinkedIn profiles, Sales Navigator, company websites and HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive records, then syncs to the CRM in one click. For teams with no Clay that call into Europe, it is not a substitute; Cognism is the better buy.
Cognism publishes no prices: its Standard and Pro packages each include 5 seats and are sold by quote, at one credit per revealed contact. Vendr's median Cognism buyer pays $32,750 a year, across 94 purchases (checked 2 October 2026). Prospector costs $45 per rep per month, billed annually, from 1 rep, and runs on the Clay plan and credits you already have.
Not as a native integration. On 2 October 2026, Clay's integration page for Cognism returns Not Found, while Clay lists 200+ other providers. A GTM engineer can still call Cognism's API from a Clay table with your own Cognism account, where the Redeem API charges one credit per contact. Check your Cognism contract before you build it.
Neither. Prospector runs on your company's Clay account and Clay credits, so the team needs Clay, but reps never log into it. They press a button inside the Supered Chrome extension where they already prospect.
Prospector works within LinkedIn's terms and does not copy search results in bulk; the contact data comes from Clay's waterfall on the customer's Clay account. In Sales Navigator, reps add leads to a prospect list and push the list to a Clay table.
HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. Ops sets the field mapping once, reps sync in one click, and before they do, they see the matching CRM record and whether the person was worked before.
