ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI in 2026: A Library, a Detective, and the Bill for Each

ZoomInfo files contacts before you ask for them; Seamless goes looking when you do. This comparison prices both from sources opened October 1, 2026, sets out the exit terms, separates the two products called Prospector, and covers the option for teams that already have Clay.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI is a choice between two quote-only contact-data vendors built on opposite methods: ZoomInfo compiles and researches its database ahead of time, while Seamless (formerly Seamless.AI) runs a real-time search each time a rep asks for a contact.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI is a choice between two quote-only contact-data vendors built on opposite methods: ZoomInfo compiles and researches its database ahead of time, while Seamless (formerly Seamless.AI) runs a real-time search each time a rep asks for a contact. The short answer, by job:

  • ZoomInfo, for North American mid-market and enterprise depth. The researched database; Vendr median $33,500 a year.
  • Seamless, for small teams that want live search at a lower contract. Vendr median $8,350 a year, on a yearly lease.
  • Supered Prospector, for teams that already have Clay. Clay’s waterfall across 200+ providers, run from the rep’s own screen, at $45 per rep per month.

One naming note before we start, because it trips people up. Seamless sells its own product called Prospector. Supered also sells a product called Prospector. They are unrelated, and a section below sets them side by side.

Most seamless ai vs zoominfo pages on Google’s first page date from 2021 to 2023 and compare feature lists. The method matters more. ZoomInfo is a reference library: a staff catalogued the shelves before you walked in. ZoomInfo says it runs “a Data Training Lab of 300+ human researchers” and that “Automated machine learning systems scan 28 million company domains daily” (ZoomInfo, opened October 1, 2026). Seamless is a detective you hire per case. Its help center says “Seamless operates as a real-time search engine, retrieving contact information based on various pings including digital foot-printing” (Seamless FAQ, opened October 1, 2026), and its pricing FAQ, as captured on September 25, said “A credit is used when Seamless.AI researches a contact.”

A library is deep wherever its staff worked and silent on anything they never shelved. A detective comes back with something fresh, and how good it is depends on the day’s legwork. Neither is wrong. They fail in different places, and you should buy the one whose failures you can live with.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI drawn as a reference library and a detective for hire: ZoomInfo catalogues contacts ahead of time with 300 plus researchers, 28 million domains scanned daily and 500 million contacts, at a $33,500 Vendr median; Seamless searches in real time when you ask, charges a credit per researched contact, and draws bounce complaints from reviewers, at an $8,350 Vendr median on a yearly lease with a 60-day cancellation window
The library and the detective. ZoomInfo: 300+ researchers, 28 million domains scanned daily, 500 million contacts, a $33,500 Vendr median, one credit per export. Seamless: real-time search, a credit per researched contact, one reviewer reporting a 20% to 30% bounce rate, an $8,350 Vendr median, and a 12-month renewal unless cancelled 60 days out.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI at a glance: the decision table

The grades use the same five weights as the ZoomInfo competitors page and the Seamless AI alternatives page, on a mid-market lens of ten to fifty reps: coverage of the contact you need (30%), rep-side delivery where reps already work (20%), price structure (20%), what happens to the list after the export (20%), and bundled outreach (10%). Prices come from pages opened October 1, 2026.

Seamless scores 2 on coverage because of the bounces its reviewers report, and a point above ZoomInfo on price because its median contract is about a quarter of ZoomInfo’s. Prospector scores 1 on outreach because it drafts and sends nothing. Both vendors score 1 on the fourth column because their meters stop at the export. Change the weights and the order changes, which is why they are printed.

Why do teams switch between ZoomInfo and Seamless AI?

In a seamless vs zoominfo switch, the reasons come from reviewers and run both ways.

  • Bounces from the detective. “While it markets a near-perfect accuracy rate, real-world usage often results in a 20% to 30% email bounce rate,” a small-business Seamless reviewer wrote on G2 on September 1, 2026. Another, a CEO, wrote on May 29, 2026: “Bounce rates are terrible, and shut down our accounts unless we use another email cleaning program” (G2, Seamless).
  • The Seamless lease. A reviewer on September 12, 2026: “They lock you into rigid, multi-year contracts that auto-renew.” The Terms themselves say annual, all sales final, and cancel more than 60 days before renewal or the contract “will automatically renew for an additional 12 months” (Seamless Terms of Use).
  • The ZoomInfo bill. “The pricing feels extremely steep compared to platforms like Apollo,” a small-business ZoomInfo reviewer wrote on September 17, 2026. Vendr’s buyers who did not negotiate credits up front report $10,000 to $50,000 or more in overage fees over a term (Vendr, ZoomInfo).
  • Thin shelves away from home. An enterprise account executive reviewing ZoomInfo on August 10, 2026 said direct-mobile accuracy “drops noticeably in EMEA, APAC, and niche regional markets” (G2, ZoomInfo).
  • The ZoomInfo direction. In May its CEO told staff the company is “accelerating our move upmarket, and reducing the resources we allocate downmarket” (SEC Form 8-K, May 2026). A twelve-rep team reading that sentence is reading about someone else.

Turned into buying criteria, those complaints become four questions. How many emails can you afford to bounce before your sending domain suffers? How big is your team, and does the vendor want teams your size? Can you live with a contract you cannot leave for a year? And what happens to a contact once it leaves the vendor? The first three decide between these two. The fourth decides whether you need either.

Why trust this comparison?

I started RevPartners, a HubSpot partner that did only sales implementations, sold roughly twice as much Sales Hub as any other partner, and reached Elite tier in 13 months. Supered grew out of that work and is the #1 sales enablement app on the HubSpot marketplace, with 6,000+ installs, and it holds 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews on G2 and 5.0 from 122 on the HubSpot App Marketplace (both checked October 1, 2026). I have watched a lot of contact databases get bought, renewed, and argued about from inside the CRM where the contacts land.

The disclosure matters here. We sell a third option, Prospector, and it has no database of its own. We gain nothing if either vendor wins this comparison, and we gain if you decide you need neither. The weights are printed so you can change them.

Whose data is better, ZoomInfo or Seamless AI?

Start with what each does well, because both do something well.

  • ZoomInfo, the deeper library. Its August 2026 filing claims “more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts” (Q2 2026 results). Forrester named it a Leader in the Q1 2026 Wave for B2B marketing and sales data providers, with top scores in 20 of 27 criteria (Q1 2026 results). On G2 its GTM Workspace holds 4.5 out of 5 from 9,170 reviews (October 1, 2026). The researchers and the domain crawl are why the shelves are full, and the shelves are fullest in North America.
  • Seamless, the fast detective. On G2 it holds 4.4 out of 5 from 5,407 reviews, listed as “Seamless (formally Seamless.AI)” (October 1, 2026). G2’s head-to-head page ties the two at 8.8 for ease of use and 8.9 for ease of setup, and its reviewers mention contact-information access 1,184 times (G2 comparison, opened October 1, 2026). A search that runs when you ask has one structural advantage over a shelf: it can find a person who changed jobs last week.

The same G2 page shows where they part. ZoomInfo’s GTM Workspace scores 8.7 on meeting requirements against 8.4 for Seamless, and 8.7 on quality of support against 8.5. The reviewer mix differs more than the scores: 48.2% of ZoomInfo’s reviewers on that page are mid-market, while 64.2% of Seamless’s are small businesses. Each is rated by the customers it was built for. A library card works best for the reader who lives near the library.

So run the test yourself, on your streets, before you sign either order form:

  • A sample from your own wins. A few hundred contacts from deals you closed last year, so the test looks like your next twelve months.
  • The same list to both vendors, in the same week. Data decays; a test run a month apart measures the calendar.
  • Bounce rate measured by sending. A returned email is a guess until a verification pass or a real send confirms it. The bounce complaints above are about this step.
  • Mobiles counted separately from emails. A rep who dials lives on the phone column, and blended rates hide it.

How much does ZoomInfo cost compared with Seamless AI?

Neither publishes a price, so the answer comes from buyers. Vendr, opened October 1, 2026, shows the median ZoomInfo buyer paying $33,500 a year across 1,574 purchases, a range from $7,220 to $155,730, with 22% average savings off the first quote. Vendr’s median contract value for Seamless.AI is $8,350 a year, printed in the comparison block on Vendr’s RocketReach listing; Vendr does not publish the seat count or term behind it. On those medians ZoomInfo costs about four times as much, $25,150 a year more. Full breakdowns live on the ZoomInfo pricing page and the Seamless AI pricing page.

The meters differ too. ZoomInfo’s pricing page says “Each export costs one credit, and credits can be added to any package as needs change” (zoominfo.com/pricing). Seamless charges when it researches a contact, and on September 25 its FAQ said “Pro plans start off at 10,000 annual credits.” By October 1 the plan cards were gone, replaced by a form asking “How many contacts do you need per month?” and “What is your company size?” (seamless.ai/pricing).

The exit terms matter as much as the sticker, because a cheap contract you cannot leave costs more than its price.

ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI cost and exit terms: ZoomInfo Vendr median $33,500 a year on 1,574 purchases, range $7,220 to $155,730, terms of 1 to 3 years with 5% to 10% escalators and 30 to 90 days notice; Seamless Vendr median $8,350 a year, seat count not published, annual subscriptions, all sales final, cancel more than 60 days before renewal or it renews for 12 months
Price and exit on one card. ZoomInfo: $33,500 median, 1,574 purchases, $7,220 to $155,730; 1 to 3 year terms, 5% to 10% escalators, 30 to 90 days notice. Seamless: $8,350 median, seat count not published; annual, all sales final, cancel more than 60 days out or renew for 12 months.

Two levers help on either side. Seamless’s pricing page advertises “Switch and Save,” with “discounts or credits matching remaining contract value, up to 50%” for buyers leaving a competitor, so a ZoomInfo contract in hand is worth money at the Seamless table. ZoomInfo buyers who negotiate in its fiscal quarter-end months (March, June, September, December) commonly land 20% to 35% below the first quote, per Vendr. Whichever you sign, put the notice date in the calendar the day you sign it.

What changed at ZoomInfo and Seamless in 2026?

Both changed their names in some form, and both are heading toward AI agents.

ZoomInfo trades on Nasdaq as GTM (since May 2025) and calls itself “the all-in-one AI GTM platform.” Its board approved a restructuring on May 5, 2026 that removes about 600 roles, roughly 20% of headcount. The August 5 results showed revenue of $310.4 million, up 1.2% year over year, net revenue retention of 89%, and 76% of contract value upmarket. On September 30, 2026 it acquired DoubleO.ai, “an agentic orchestration platform built to help teams create reliable, multi-agent automation,” with terms undisclosed (Business Wire), and on October 1 it introduced Agent Teams built on it.

Seamless is private, based in Dublin, Ohio, and run by its founder, Brandon Bornancin. On February 10, 2026 it announced “its evolution to Seamless, unveiling a new brand” (Seamless release), although its Terms and pricing page still say Seamless.AI. Its navigation now lists an MCP server, apps for Claude and ChatGPT, Bulk Credits, and a product called Prospector. No acquisition or funding round turned up in an October 1, 2026 news search.

Seamless Prospector vs Supered Prospector: which is which?

Two companies chose the same word, and the products share nothing else. Seamless Prospector is Seamless’s contact search. Its page, opened October 1, 2026, promises “Find verified buyers in seconds” and “Search 1.3B+ verified B2B contacts,” with CRM integrations and a Chrome extension, and a free trial of “50 search credits” (Seamless Prospector). It searches one vendor’s records: Seamless’s.

Supered Prospector has no records of its own. It is a button that runs your team’s Clay tables from the place the rep already is: a LinkedIn profile, a Sales Navigator list, a company website, or a HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive record. The data comes from Clay’s waterfall across 200+ providers on your own Clay account, and it costs $45 per rep per month, billed annually (Prospector). If a review, a Reddit thread, or an AI answer mentions “Prospector” next to a database size or a Seamless credit, it means Seamless’s product.

Two products named Prospector compared: Seamless Prospector is Seamless's own contact search, claiming 1.3B plus verified B2B contacts, one vendor's records, quote only with a 50 search credit trial; Supered Prospector brings no database and runs your Clay tables across 200 plus providers from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, company sites or the CRM record, at $45 per rep per month billed annually
Same name, opposite design. Seamless Prospector searches Seamless’s own database (its claim: 1.3B+ verified B2B contacts; trial of 50 search credits). Supered Prospector brings no database and runs your Clay tables across 200+ providers, at $45 per rep per month, billed annually.

Is there a better option than ZoomInfo or Seamless AI for a team on Clay?

For a team that already has Clay, the better option is to stop choosing between a library and a detective, and that is why Prospector ranks first in the table. Prospector does not bring its own database. It brings Clay’s waterfall, which is every database, routed. We chose Clay as our only data provider for that reason.

Go back to the two pictures. A library is silent about whatever it never shelved, and a detective is only as good as the day’s legwork. Clay is a switchboard operator who rings the library, then the detective, then the next source, until someone answers. Clay sells data from “200+ providers in one place,” and its pricing page says “If an enrichment returns no result, you’re not charged Data Credits or Actions” (clay.com/pricing, opened October 1, 2026). The operator does not charge for a line that goes unanswered.

ZoomInfo can sit on that switchboard on your terms. Clay lists it as a Clay-built integration, joined January 15, 2025, with enrich and search actions that each require you to bring your own ZoomInfo account (Clay, ZoomInfo integration). A ZoomInfo contract you already pay for can become one step in a waterfall instead of the only source. The way waterfalls order and stop is covered in the waterfall enrichment explainer.

Clay's waterfall as a switchboard: a rep starts on a LinkedIn profile, a Sales Navigator list, a company website, or a HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive record; Supered Prospector runs the team's Clay table with no Clay login; the waterfall asks provider after provider, charging no credits for a miss, can include your own ZoomInfo account, and reaches up to 200 plus providers; then one click to the CRM and the manager sees which lists get worked and close
The switchboard. The rep starts where they already are; Prospector runs your Clay table; the waterfall rings provider after provider (up to 200+), charges nothing for a miss, and can include your own ZoomInfo account. Then one click to the CRM. Conceptual diagram.

What a rep does with it, on Prospector:

  • Your Clay table as a button. RevOps connects any Clay table once. Reps press it in Sales Navigator, on a company’s website, or inside a HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive record, and the table runs. Reps need no Clay login.
  • The CRM check before the add. On a LinkedIn profile the rep sees the matching CRM record and whether the prospect was already worked, so two reps do not chase the same buyer.
  • The buying committee, tuned to you. The lookup follows the titles, departments, and seniority your team sets.
  • The list, worked and closed. Reps push to the CRM or your sequences, your process rules apply to the prospects they work, and you see which lists are being worked and which close, the way your process defines it.

On list prices, Clay Growth ($5,940 a year) plus Prospector for 5 reps ($2,700) comes to $8,640, close to Seamless’s $8,350 median. For 10 reps ($5,400) it is $11,340, about a third of ZoomInfo’s median. Both totals exclude Clay credits beyond the plan. How reps build and work lists from Clay is on the sourcing use case, and the Clay Chrome extension guide covers the browser side. Teams that came to this question from Exportly, now Frontier, will find the history on the Exportly alternatives page.

Choose something else if any of these is true:

  • No Clay, and no one to build it. Clay needs someone to build the tables and the waterfall. Without that person, one vendor is simpler, and the branch below between ZoomInfo and Seamless stands.
  • A dialer and email in the same contract. Seamless bundles email, calls, and tasks through its Connect features. Prospector drafts nothing and sends nothing.
  • Agents that write and send the outreach. ZoomInfo’s Agent Teams is aimed at that job. Prospector is not.

ZoomInfo or Seamless AI: which should you choose?

On a zoominfo or seamless ai shortlist, the branch comes before the score. If your problem is researched depth across North American mid-market and enterprise accounts, ZoomInfo is the best pick. If your problem is a small team that needs live search on a smaller contract and can police its own bounce rate, Seamless is the best pick. If your reps already have Clay, the best pick is the switchboard in their hands, and the question shrinks to whether ZoomInfo deserves a place on it.

  • ZoomInfo, the researched library. Choose it if your buyers sit mostly in North America and you are the mid-market or enterprise customer its filings describe: 500 million contacts, a Forrester Leader, intent and agents on one roadmap. Budget near the $33,500 median, size the credits before the seats, sign at quarter-end, and cap the escalator.
  • Seamless, the detective on a lease. Choose it if you run a small, high-volume team that wants live search and dialing in one tool. Budget near the $8,350 median, run every list through verification before it sends, bring a competitor contract for Switch and Save, and diary the 60-day notice date.
  • Prospector on Clay, the switchboard. Choose it if your reps already have Clay. Coverage becomes Clay’s waterfall across 200+ providers, your ZoomInfo account can be one step in it, reps work from LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, the company site, and the CRM record with no Clay login, and you see which lists turn into pipeline: $8,640 a year with Clay Growth for 5 reps, $11,340 for 10.
Decision path for ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI: if your reps already have Clay, choose Supered Prospector at $45 per rep per month, with ZoomInfo kept only as one waterfall step; if not, choose ZoomInfo for North American mid-market or enterprise buyers at a $33,500 Vendr median, or Seamless for a small high-volume team that wants live search at an $8,350 Vendr median, and calendar the renewal notice date either way
Two questions decide it. Do your reps have Clay, and if not, where are your buyers and how big is the team. North American depth: ZoomInfo ($33,500 median). Small team, live search: Seamless ($8,350 median). Clay already in the building: Prospector at $45 per rep per month.

A library and a detective are both good at finding people, and both send a bill whether or not the person was where they said. Test them on your own won deals, read the exit clause before the price, and buy the one whose misses you can afford. For the next comparisons in this set, Lusha vs ZoomInfo weighs ZoomInfo against a LinkedIn-first tool, the ZoomInfo Chrome extension guide covers what its browser add-on does, and Clay prospecting shows what the switchboard looks like from a rep’s chair.

Frequently asked questions

Is ZoomInfo or Seamless AI better?+
It depends on the team. ZoomInfo is the better pick for a North American mid-market or enterprise team that wants one vendor's depth, intent data, and a researched database: 500 million contacts by its August 2026 filing, a Forrester Wave Leader in Q1 2026, and G2's mid-market reviewers as its largest segment. Seamless is the better pick for a small, high-volume team that wants live search and a lower contract: Vendr's median Seamless.AI contract is $8,350 a year against $33,500 for ZoomInfo, and 64.2% of its G2 reviewers on the head-to-head page are small businesses. If your reps already have Clay, Supered Prospector ($45 per rep per month, billed annually) puts Clay's waterfall across 200+ providers in their hands instead of either contract.
How much does ZoomInfo cost compared with Seamless AI?+
Neither publishes a price. Vendr, opened October 1, 2026, shows the median ZoomInfo buyer paying $33,500 a year across 1,574 purchases, with a range of $7,220 to $155,730. Vendr's median contract value for Seamless.AI is $8,350 a year, printed in the comparison block on its RocketReach listing, with the seat count and term not published. On those medians ZoomInfo costs about four times as much, a gap of $25,150 a year.
Is Seamless AI data as accurate as ZoomInfo?+
The two methods trade freshness for curation. ZoomInfo says it keeps a Data Training Lab of 300+ human researchers and scans 28 million company domains daily. Seamless describes itself as a real-time search engine that pulls information when you search. On G2's head-to-head page, ZoomInfo's GTM Workspace scores 8.7 on meeting requirements against 8.4 for Seamless, and recent Seamless reviewers complain about bounces, one citing a 20% to 30% email bounce rate. Test both on a sample of your own won deals before you sign.
Can I cancel Seamless AI or ZoomInfo at any time?+
No for both. Seamless's Terms of Use, re-opened October 1, 2026, say all subscriptions are annual, all sales are final, and the contract renews for 12 months unless cancelled more than 60 days before renewal, with a form and a meeting with a Customer Success Representative. Vendr reports ZoomInfo terms of 1 to 3 years, auto-renewal with 5% to 10% escalators common, and notice periods typically 30 to 90 days, and advises negotiating 90 to 120.
Is Seamless Prospector the same as Supered Prospector?+
No. They are different products from different companies that share a name. Seamless Prospector is Seamless's contact search, which says it lets you search 1.3B+ verified B2B contacts in Seamless's own database. Supered Prospector has no database: it runs your team's Clay tables from a LinkedIn profile, a Sales Navigator list, a company website, or a HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive record, using Clay's waterfall across 200+ providers on your own Clay account, for $45 per rep per month billed annually.
Do I need ZoomInfo or Seamless AI if I already have Clay?+
Usually not as your whole data strategy. Clay sells data from 200+ providers in one place, runs them as a waterfall, and does not charge credits when an enrichment returns no result. ZoomInfo is a Clay integration that uses your own ZoomInfo account, so an existing contract can become one step in the waterfall. Supered Prospector puts those Clay tables where reps already work, with no Clay login, and shows you which sourced lists get worked and which close.

Your process, running itself.
