Seamless.AI Review 2026: A Sketch Artist for Contact Data, and the People in the Sketches

Seamless holds 4.4 on G2 and 1.2 on Trustpilot.

A Seamless.AI review checked October 2, 2026: how its real-time search builds an email, what the bounce reports say, the $1.125 million settlement, and who should buy it.

Seamless.AI review drawn as a police sketch artist: a rep gives a name and company, Seamless researches the person in real time and draws a contact card with an email, a phone and a confidence score from 0 to 99 percent, one credit per Find, while the people who were sketched without asking appear on Trustpilot and in a settled Illinois class action

This Seamless.AI review grades Seamless, the Ohio contact-data company renamed from Seamless.AI in February 2026, whose search engine researches a person's email and phone in real time when a rep clicks Find, at one credit per contact.

A police sketch artist does a useful, strange job. You describe a face you saw for a second, and twenty minutes later there is a drawing that looks a good deal like the person, built from clues, never from a photograph. Most of the time the likeness is close enough to find the man. Sometimes it is the wrong man. And the person in the sketch never agreed to sit for it. Seamless works the same way, and this review takes each of those three facts in turn. The quick answer, checked October 2, 2026:

  • Seamless itself. A fair buy for a small, high-volume team that wants live search, a dialer and email in one place, and will diarize the renewal date. Quote only.
  • Supered Prospector. The pick for a team that already pays for Clay: reps run Clay’s waterfall across 200+ vendors from where they sell. $45 per rep per month, billed annually.
  • Apollo or UpLead. The non-Clay switches: Apollo for data plus outreach in one seat, UpLead for a posted price and email verification at download.

This Seamless.AI review grades Seamless, the Ohio contact-data company renamed from Seamless.AI in February 2026, whose search engine researches a person’s email and phone in real time when a rep clicks Find, at one credit per contact. Pricing and terms have their own pages (Seamless AI pricing, Seamless AI alternatives); this one asks whether it is legit, whether the data holds, and what it owes the people in it.

The sketch artist. A rep gives a name; Seamless researches the person in real time and returns a likeness with a confidence score from 0% to 99%, for one credit. The people in the sketches never sat for them.

Is Seamless.AI legit?

Yes, in the plain sense. Seamless Contacts Inc., of Dublin, Ohio, has sold contact data since 2014 under founder and CEO Brandon Bornancin, and on February 10, 2026 it announced “its evolution to Seamless, unveiling a new brand” (Seamless release). A news search on October 2, 2026 found no 2026 acquisition or funding round. The ratings split along a familiar line, and the line tells you who is talking.

Seamless.AI review ratings by who is reviewing, checked October 2, 2026: Chrome Web Store 4.5 of 5 from 199 ratings and 90,000 users; G2 4.4 of 5 from 5,407 reviews, 64.2 percent of reviewers small business; Trustpilot 1.2 of 5 from 310 reviews, 83 percent one-star and 12 percent five-star, with no replies to negative reviews; the buyers rate the product, the Trustpilot reviewers rate the cancellation
Three rooms, three verdicts. Chrome: 4.5 from 199 ratings, 90,000 users. G2: 4.4 from 5,407 reviews. Trustpilot: 1.2 from 310, 83% one-star, 12% five-star.

Why are Seamless AI reviews 4.4 on G2 and 1.2 on Trustpilot?

Because the two sites catch people at different doors. G2 asks a user, mid-subscription, whether the tool does its job. Trustpilot hears from whoever is angry enough to go looking for it, and for Seamless that is mostly someone trying to leave.

Read the recent one-star reviews and the subject repeats. “Only way to cancel is by scheduling a sales call. Earliest appointment is one day after billing,” one reviewer wrote in the days before October 2. Another: “Aggressive sales people promising the works to get you to sign a contract designed to trap you.” The documents back the shape of the complaint, if not its temperature. Seamless’s Terms of Use say all subscriptions “are annual with monthly or annual billing cycles,” and a subscription not cancelled “more than 60 days before the renewal” renews “for an additional 12 months” (Terms of Use). The help center adds that an admin must submit a form “and meet with your Customer Success Representative” to remove the automatic renewal (Seamless help center).

So the Trustpilot score measures the exit, and the G2 score measures the product. A buyer who diarizes the renewal date on signing day has removed most of what the 1.2 is about. The Seamless AI pricing page lays out the lease line by line.

How does Seamless find an email in real time?

Here the sketch artist earns the comparison. Most databases file a contact before anyone asks for it. Seamless says it works the other way: “As a real-time search engine, Seamless pulls information in real time,” retrieving contact information “based on various pings including digital foot-printing” (Seamless FAQ). The rep gives a name and a company. Seamless goes and draws the face.

The extension shows its work, to Seamless’s credit: its help center says each email in a profile “includes an AI confidence percentage ranging from 0% to 99%,” and “the higher the percentage, the more confident the AI is in that email as a viable outreach option” (Navigating the Seamless Chrome Extension). A sketch artist who writes “about 70% sure” under the drawing is more trustworthy than one who signs it as a photograph.

The meter sits at the request. “One contact search credit will be used when you click Find next to a contact” (Seamless Chrome Extension). Seamless softens that in one useful way: its Bulk Credits page says “Credits automatically return for invalid emails or bad data” (Bulk Credits).

How Seamless builds a contact in real time: the rep clicks Find, one contact search credit is used, Seamless researches the person from digital footprints, and the profile returns emails each with an AI confidence percentage from 0 to 99 percent plus phones; a high-confidence email goes to outreach, a low-confidence email is a guess that can bounce, and credits return automatically for invalid emails or bad data while the bounce still lands on the sender's domain
One click, one credit, one drawing. Each email carries a confidence score from 0% to 99%. Seamless refunds the credit for an invalid email; the bounce, if you send it, is yours.

Is Seamless.AI data accurate?

Accurate enough for most of the people paying for it, and the exceptions cluster around one cause. The praise is real: a Content and Outreach Specialist praised the extension on G2 in September 2026 for pulling “verified emails and direct dials right from prospect’s profile.” The same reviewer, in the same review, reported “a 20% to 30% email bounce rate and high volumes of wrong or outdated phone numbers.” A higher-education buyer wrote on September 12, 2026: “I’m constantly burning through my monthly credits on phone numbers that turn out to be dead ends, or on emails that bounce” (G2).

Both reviews can be right about the same tool. A drawing built from clues has a likeness score, and a score below 99 is a guess with odds attached. Send a thousand guesses and some land on doors that do not exist.

The refund makes the credit whole, never the domain that sent the email. Google’s sender guidelines tell bulk senders that if messages “start bouncing or start being deferred, reduce the sending volume until the SMTP error rate decreases” (Google, email sender guidelines). A team that sends every Seamless email regardless of its confidence score is spending reputation it cannot get refunded.

Three habits follow from it:

  • A confidence floor. Decide the score below which an email goes to verification or the bin, and write it into the process before reps start sending.
  • A second opinion on the misses. A low-confidence email is the moment to ask another source, which is the job a waterfall does by design.
  • The refund, claimed. Check the credit history after a campaign; Seamless says invalid-email credits come back automatically, and that is worth confirming on your own account.

Has Seamless.AI been sued over its data?

Yes, and one case has finished. The third fact about the sketch artist concerns the people in the drawings.

Seamless legal and corporate timeline: November 23, 2022 a federal judge in the Northern District of Illinois lets Hoffower v. Seamless Contacts proceed under the Illinois Right of Publicity Act; around March 6, 2025 Seamless's company page disappears from LinkedIn; class period April 1, 2021 to October 2, 2024 for Plowman v. Seamless Contacts in DuPage County, Illinois; February 10, 2026 rebrand from Seamless.AI to Seamless; April 6, 2026 final approval of a 1,125,000 dollar settlement covering non-customers in California, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada and Ohio, California's fund 770,709 dollars; June 4, 2026 payments begin; Seamless denies the allegations
The people in the sketches. November 2022, a federal judge lets a right-of-publicity class action proceed. April 6, 2026, final approval of a $1,125,000 settlement, $770,709 of it for California. June 4, 2026, payments begin. Seamless denies the allegations.
  • Hoffower v. Seamless Contacts. In November 2022, Judge Matthew Kennelly of the Northern District of Illinois ruled that a plaintiff who said Seamless built a profile with her name and contact data and used it to recruit subscribers had standing to sue under the Illinois Right of Publicity Act (Bloomberg Law, November 23, 2022).
  • Plowman et al. v. Seamless Contacts. A class action in the Circuit Court of DuPage County, Illinois, case 2025CH000163, settled for $1,125,000. The class: people in California, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada and Ohio who were not Seamless customers but were “saved to the MyContacts list” of a user who upgraded from a free to a paid account between April 1, 2021 and October 2, 2024. On April 6, 2026 the court entered final approval, and distribution began June 4, 2026. “Seamless denies that it displays non-business information, denies using profiles to promote subscriptions, and denies selling any information” (settlement site).
  • LinkedIn. In March 2025 Seamless’s and Apollo’s company pages “vanished from LinkedIn,” MarTech reported, with no statement from LinkedIn (MarTech). GZ Consulting reported Apollo’s return in April 2026 (GZ Consulting); we found no equivalent report for Seamless.

For a buyer, the settlement is a closed file. The mechanism behind it is the open part: when a rep clicks Find, that person lands in a saved list, and in states with publicity laws the person has a say in how their name is used. California’s share of the fund, $770,709, shows where the exposure sat.

Why trust this Seamless.AI review?

I founded RevPartners, a HubSpot partner that did only sales implementations, sold roughly twice as much Sales Hub as any other partner, and reached Elite tier in 13 months. Supered grew out of that work and is the #1 sales enablement app on the HubSpot marketplace, rated 5.0 from 122 reviews there and 4.9 from 81 on G2 (both checked October 1, 2026). The disclosure: we make Supered Prospector, which competes with Seamless for teams on Clay, and it ranks first below for that job only. The weights are printed so you can change them.

How does Seamless compare with the alternatives?

The lens is a team of ten to fifty reps that wants contact data reps will use where they already sell, and a leader who can see which lists turn into pipeline. Five criteria, scored 1 to 5 and weighted: coverage of the contact you need (x3), rep-side delivery (x2), price structure (x2), what the leader sees after the export (x2), bundled outreach (x1), out of 50. The scores match the Seamless AI alternatives page and ZoomInfo vs Seamless AI.

Seamless’s 21 is coverage 2 (the bounce reports), rep-side delivery 3, price 2, what the leader sees 1, outreach 3 (dialing and email in the box). Prospector’s coverage is Clay’s waterfall, credited to Clay, and its outreach is 1 on purpose: it sends nothing. Vendr’s $8,350 median does not publish a seat count (Vendr).

Where does Supered Prospector fit?

A naming note first, since search results blur it. Seamless sells a product called Prospector, its contact search across what it calls “1.3B+ verified B2B contacts” (Seamless Prospector). Supered Prospector is a different product from a different company, and this page always uses its full name.

Clay plus Supered is the best way for a sales team to prospect: GTM engineers build in Clay, reps never open Clay. Supered Prospector runs inside the Supered Chrome extension, on the team’s own Clay account, and puts the GTM engineer’s Clay tables one click from the LinkedIn profile, the company website, or the HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive record. We chose Clay as our only data provider because Clay’s waterfalls “check multiple providers to return the most verified emails (lower bounce rate) and phone numbers (higher connect rate)” across 200+ data and AI vendors (Clay). Supered does not bring its own database. It brings Clay’s waterfall, which is every database, routed.

Back to the sketch: one artist draws one likeness. Clay’s waterfall is a line of witnesses asked in order, stopping at the first verified match, and “If an enrichment returns no result, you’re not charged Data Credits or Actions” (Clay pricing). Clay’s integration directory had no Seamless page when we checked on October 2, 2026, so Seamless is not a step you can drop into that line.

One sketch artist against a line of witnesses: Seamless draws one likeness per Find with a confidence score and one credit; Supered Prospector runs Clay's waterfall across 200 plus vendors from a LinkedIn profile, a company website, or a HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive record, asking provider after provider until one returns a verified email or phone, with no charge for a miss; the contact syncs to the CRM in one click and the leader sees Found, Worked, Closed; ten reps cost 11,340 dollars a year on Clay Growth at 5,940 dollars plus Prospector at 45 dollars per rep per month billed annually
One artist, or a line of witnesses. Clay’s waterfall across 200+ vendors, no charge for a miss. Ten reps: Clay Growth $5,940 plus Prospector at $45 per rep per month, $11,340 a year.

What the people around the table get:

  • The GTM engineer. No more list desk: build flows once in Clay and reps pick them from a Push menu.
  • The rep. The table as a button on the page they are reading, with the matching CRM record and any past outreach shown before they push.
  • The leader. Found, Worked, Closed: which lists reps found, who is working theirs, and how each lead ended, Qualified, Recycled, or Disqualified.

Prospector works within LinkedIn’s terms and does not copy search results in bulk; the contact data comes from Clay’s waterfall on the customer’s Clay account. Clay Labs is on California’s data broker registry too, so ask Clay’s providers the same provenance questions.

The arithmetic: Clay Growth lists at $495 a month ($5,940 a year), and Prospector is $45 per rep per month billed annually, from one rep (Prospector). Ten reps come to $11,340 a year against a Seamless median of $8,350, so Seamless may be cheaper per headcount. The extra buys every source behind each lookup and a view of which lists became pipeline.

Choose something else if you do not have Clay: Prospector runs on the customer’s Clay account and does nothing without one, and someone has to build the tables (RevPartners, a Clay Elite Studio Partner I founded, does that work). Choose something else, too, if you want a dialer and sequences in the same seat as the data. The sourcing use case shows the Clay setup.

Which should you choose?

  • Seamless, kept. The pick for a small team that dials and emails at volume from one tool, with a confidence floor and the renewal date diarized 90 days out. If your buyers sit in California or Illinois, ask in writing how Seamless now handles saved profiles of non-customers.
  • Apollo. A posted, cancellable price with sequences in the same seat.
  • UpLead. One posted price and an email verified at download; the UpLead review tests that promise.
  • Supered Prospector. The pick when the team already pays for Clay and wants every source behind each lookup and a view of which lists got worked and closed.

My recommendation rests on what this review found. Seamless’s 4.4 is earned: the search is live and the confidence score is a piece of candor databases rarely show. The 1.2 is about the lease. The bounce reports are about the method. A sketch is a guess with a score, and a team that sends guesses without a floor pays in sender reputation that no credit refund restores. Without Clay, buy Seamless only with a confidence floor and a renewal reminder, or take Apollo’s posted price. With Clay, stop paying one artist per rep. Let the GTM engineer choose the witnesses, let reps run the line from the page they are on, and watch which lists become pipeline. A Prospector demo on your own Clay account shows it from a LinkedIn profile, and the Seamless Chrome extension page covers the extension itself, Find All and all.

Frequently asked questions

Is Seamless.AI legit?+
Yes, as a business: Seamless Contacts Inc. of Dublin, Ohio, trades as Seamless (renamed from Seamless.AI on February 10, 2026), and buyers rate it 4.4 out of 5 from 5,407 reviews on G2 and 4.5 from 199 ratings on its Chrome extension, checked October 2, 2026. Two things belong next to that answer. Its Trustpilot score was 1.2 from 310 reviews, 83% of them one-star and mostly about cancelling. And in April 2026 an Illinois court gave final approval to a $1,125,000 class settlement brought by people whose profiles Seamless users had saved; Seamless denies the allegations.
Is Seamless.AI data accurate?+
Accurate enough for its many small-business buyers, uneven for the ones who send at volume. Seamless describes itself as a real-time search engine that builds each contact when a rep clicks Find, and its extension shows an AI confidence percentage from 0% to 99% on each email. On G2, one September 2026 reviewer reported a 20% to 30% email bounce rate, and another said they were burning credits on dead numbers and bouncing emails. Seamless returns credits automatically for invalid emails or bad data, so the cost of a miss falls mostly on your sender reputation.
Why does Seamless.AI have such a low Trustpilot score?+
Seamless's Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 1.2 from 310 reviews on October 2, 2026, with 83% one-star and the note that it has not replied to negative reviews. Most recent one-star reviews are about cancellation: Seamless's Terms make subscriptions annual and require cancellation at least 60 days before renewal, and its help center routes the request through a form and a meeting with a Customer Success Representative. G2 reviewers rate the product; Trustpilot reviewers mostly rate the exit.
What was the Seamless.AI class action about?+
Plowman et al. v. Seamless Contacts, Inc., Circuit Court of DuPage County, Illinois, alleged that Seamless used people's professional information to market subscriptions and sold access to it without consent. It settled for $1,125,000 for non-customers in California, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada and Ohio who were saved to a MyContacts list of a user who upgraded to a paid account between April 1, 2021 and October 2, 2024. The court granted final approval on April 6, 2026 and payments began June 4, 2026. Seamless denies the allegations.
Is Seamless the same as Supered Prospector?+
No. Seamless sells a product called Prospector, its contact search across what it calls 1.3B+ verified B2B contacts. Supered Prospector is a different product from a different company: it has no database of its own and runs a team's Clay tables, Clay's waterfall across 200+ vendors, from LinkedIn, a company website or the HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive record, at $45 per rep per month billed annually on the team's own Clay account.
What is the best alternative to Seamless.AI?+
For a team that already pays for Clay, Supered Prospector, because each lookup asks provider after provider instead of one search engine. Without Clay, Apollo suits small teams that want data, a dialer and sequences in one seat from $49 a month on annual billing, and UpLead suits buyers who want a posted price and email verification at the moment of download, from $74 a month billed annually. The Seamless AI alternatives page grades the full field.
