Supered vs Pendo comes down to who the users are.
Pendo is the stronger pick for a product team that ships software and wants to see how customers use it, then guide them inside the product. Supered is the stronger pick for a sales leader whose reps know the process and skip it: your expectations become rules, checked against each open deal in HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, and the rep fixes what is broken on the record. Many companies run both, bought by different teams.
G2 on 3 October 2026: Pendo 4.4 out of 5 from 1,819 reviews; Supered 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews.
Pendo is independent and valued above $1 billion (The News & Observer). In April 2026 it cut about 90 roles, roughly 10% of its workforce. CEO Todd Olson said the company had spent six months "refounding" Pendo and that the cuts were "not any reflection of the strength of our business" (ABC11). It kept buying, too: Forwrd.ai in July 2025 and Chisel Labs in February 2026.
The pricing page shows where the money is going. Alongside Free, Base, Core and Ultimate, Pendo now lists Novus, a free beta for continuous product monitoring, plus Predict and Agent Analytics as add-ons (Pendo pricing). A news check on 3 October 2026 found no merger or sale.
None of that changes what Pendo is for. It changes the renewal conversation: ask which features your plan includes today and which ones are heading to an add-on.

How we graded: for the job most people typing "Supered vs Pendo" are weighing, getting a sales team to follow the process inside the CRM. Weights: rules checked against CRM records (35%), guidance where reps already work (25%), a manager view of who followed it (20%), setup and price for a 10 to 50 rep team (20%). We also grade the opposite lane, analytics and guidance inside your own product, so you can flip the lens.
| Tool | Lane | Grade | Rank | Why it ranks here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supered | Sales process followed in the CRM | A | 1 | Built for this job: one definition of a good deal, followed in the CRM, in Claude or by an agent, a board per rep, a public price. |
| Pendo | Sales process followed in the CRM | C | 2 | Guides employees in Salesforce and reports usage; we found no published per-rule check of open deals. |
| Pendo | Analytics and guides in your own product | A | 1 | 4.4 from 1,819 G2 reviews, analytics and guides on one platform, a free plan to 500 MAUs. |
| Supered | Analytics and guides in your own product | D | 2 | Guides run on any website through the extension, but there is no product analytics on your customers. |
Pendo earned its place with product teams. Install it in your app and it records which features people use, where they drop off and how long they take, then lets the same team put a tour, a tooltip or an NPS survey in front of the users who need it. Its G2 record, 4.4 out of 5 from 1,819 reviews, rests on a large base, and the strengths reviewers cite most are ease of use (202 mentions) and having analytics and in-app guidance in one place (G2). The free plan is a serious one: product analytics, in-app guides, roadmaps and NPS for up to 500 monthly active users.
Pendo also sells the same engine for employees. Pendo for Salesforce promises "no-code in-app walkthroughs and contextual tooltips" and "real-time, actionable data on how employees are using Salesforce" (Pendo). Ferguson used it to cut Salesforce training cost for more than 2,500 employees. If your goal is helping people learn a screen and seeing which parts of it they use, Pendo does that well.
Pendo is the footfall counter and the signage in a shop you own. It shows which aisles customers walk, and it hangs a sign where they stall. Your sales team works somewhere else: on deals in the CRM, where the question is whether the rep did the next step on this account.
Teams that land here often run Pendo in their product already, or have been pitched Pendo for Salesforce. The reasons they look further are fairly consistent.
Supered starts from your expectations instead of your screens. A close date that has passed, no amount after Discovery, no recap within a day of a meeting, an overdue task: each becomes a Process Rule. Rules group into a Process Ruleset, and a Process Board checks each open deal in HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive against them and lists what is broken, rep by rep. That includes deals no rep opened today. The rep sees the same list in a sidebar on the record, fixes the field there, and the violation clears without anyone marking it done.
Supered carries its own in-app guidance too. Guides are step-by-step walkthroughs recorded with the Sidekick extension on any website, and Page Triggers surface the right Card or Guide on the page when its context appears, such as a deal stage in HubSpot or an opportunity in Salesforce. Managers see who followed the process, with streaks for reps who finish the day at zero, so the one-on-one opens on the buyer. The full pattern is on sales expectations.
The same rules work outside the CRM. Supered connects to Claude through MCP, so a rep can ask Claude to clear their board: Claude reads the rules, updates the fields, and saves recap emails as drafts for the rep to review (Supered for Claude).
Process Compliance costs $40 per user per month on a yearly plan ($45 monthly), with a 5-user minimum, and includes Digital Adoption. For 25 reps on the yearly plan that is $12,000 a year. Vendr's $48,500 Pendo median covers many MAU bands and module mixes, mostly customer-facing deployments, so treat it as a sizing hint for the conversation; your own quote will differ. Full plans are on Supered pricing.
A 30-minute demo: we take three expectations your reps skip, turn them into rules, and show the board for your pipeline.
If your users are your customers and you need to see and steer how they use your product, Pendo is the best pick. We are the best pick if your users are your own reps and the problem is a sales process they know and skip.
Both, by team. Product keeps Pendo for the customer experience inside the app. Sales runs Supered for the process inside the CRM. If sales also wants walkthroughs on Salesforce screens, give that job to one tool so reps see one set of guides.
We sell one of the two products on this page, so weigh what follows. Each competitor number links to its source and carries the date we checked it, 3 October 2026. If Pendo ships a check of open CRM deals against a team's own rules, this page changes.
Supered started inside RevPartners, the HubSpot partner Matt Bolian founded, which sold roughly twice as much Sales Hub as any other partner and reached HubSpot's Elite tier in 13 months. Supered is the #1 sales enablement app on the HubSpot marketplace and a HubSpot Premier Tech Partner, with 6,000+ installs. On G2 it holds 4.9 out of 5 from 81 reviews; on the HubSpot marketplace, 5.0 from 122 reviews (both checked 3 October 2026).
"Instead of asking people to hunt through docs or a separate LMS, Supered puts the right guidance directly inside our CRM at the moment it's needed; deal stage, workflow step, record type, you name it."
"Supered is HUGE for process enforcement and sharing team knowledge. We work with multiple clients that use Supered and it has been very helpful in disseminating information, providing information at the right place and time, and assisting in accurate and complete data entry."
Reviews quoted verbatim from our wall of love, which links each one to its source.
For one job, yes. If you were looking at Pendo, or Pendo for Salesforce, to get a sales team following its process inside the CRM, Supered does that job directly: your expectations become rules, checked against open deals in HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive. If you need product analytics and onboarding for your own customers, Pendo is the right tool and Supered is not a replacement.
Yes, and they often do, owned by different teams. Product keeps Pendo inside the software it ships. Sales runs Supered inside the CRM. They mostly guide different people on different screens. If both would put walkthroughs on Salesforce, pick one for that job so reps see a single set of guides.
Pendo is usually bought by product teams at software companies to understand and guide their own users; 61.4% of its G2 reviewers are mid-market and 21.2% enterprise. Supered is bought by sales leaders, RevOps and enablement teams with 10 or more reps on HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive; 72.6% of its G2 reviewers are small business and 27.4% mid-market (G2, 3 October 2026).
Pendo is free up to 500 monthly active users, and its paid plans are quote-only on MAU volume. Vendr puts the median Pendo contract at $48,500 a year across 585 purchases, with a range of $18,500 to $151,135. Supered publishes its price: Process Compliance is $40 per user per month on a yearly plan, $45 monthly, with a 5-user minimum, so 25 reps cost $12,000 a year.
Yes. Supered Guides are step-by-step walkthroughs recorded with the Sidekick Chrome extension on any website, and Page Triggers surface the right Card or Guide on the page when its context appears. The difference is the target: Supered guides your own team through your sales process in the CRM, and it has no product analytics on your customers.
Teams typically go live in under a week, sometimes in a day. The slow part is agreeing which expectations matter most, so start with the handful your reps skip most often and add rules from there.
